Lifeline- Low Income Support

WHAT IS LIFELINE?

Lifeline is a government program offering qualified low income households a discount on unlimited basic telephone service with the availability of long distance restrictions.  A discount for one telephone line per eligible household is available through your telecommunications company. The Federal Communication Commission’s Lifeline Program (Lifeline) offers a monthly discount of $9.25. The discount applies to only one telephone number per household. Lifeline discount may also apply towards internet service effective December 2, 2016. You can only receive a discount on ONE option – phone or internet.

If you live on a federally recognized reservation, you may be able to save even more money on your phone bill through the Tribal Lifeline and Link-up programs. For more information on Tribal Lifeline and Link-up, visit
